Holy Goat Brewing has released its final three beers of the year, a Belgian framboise, a double chocolate orange stout, and a Flanders red.
The Belgian framboise is Special Lore 2024, which has been refermented on Scottish tayberries harvested 12 miles from the brewery. “Whilst a framboise style is traditionally brewed with raspberries, we decided to use our local tayberries to showcase their intense raspberry character, vibrant pinkish red hue, and huge aroma,” says the aroma.
The Double Chocolate Orange Stout has been brewed in collaboration with Logan, from Sinnister Brew. It features cacao powder and nibs, Indonesian vanilla pods, and zest from Sicilian oranges.
Riddle Of Oak III is a provision strength Flanders Red ale, constituted from multiple batches of barrel- and tank-aged beers which have been blended perpetually and further aged in a single Calvados barrel for one year.
“One of our favourite single barrel Flanders Red expressions at Holy Goat, this barrel was deemed too special to be blended into our larger releases and is instead showcased as is,” the brewer adds.
