Did you Know? A Brew Day is a Moo Day!

Did you know that Brehon Brewhouse is situated on a working dairy farm in Co Monaghan (only brewery in Europe on a working dairy farm – or so we’re told!)?

The cattle have no objection though as the waste grains go to feed the herd, improving their milk production which is then used by Baileys in the making of their famous product range? It’s a win-win as the yeast is great for maintaining the right balance in the cows stomach. In addition no water goes to waste as washings are spread on the field to improve grass growth. At Brehon Brewhouse we aim to keep our production as sustainable as possible.

Watch this space for regular updates on our efforts to improve the sustainability of our process.
