The Midsummer Beer Happening is returning to Stonehaven’s Baird Park from 12th-14th June, raising money for nearly 20 charities and good causes.

The main beneficiaries from the three-day celebration of the best in beer, food and music will be Stonehaven Sea Cadets, the town’s famous Fireballs Ceremony, plus the Friends of Kincardine Community Hospital.
The event will also support good causes like Stonehaven RNLI, Girl Guides Stonehaven, the town’s Scouts, and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.
“The Midsummer Beer Happening is all about creating a unique and special atmosphere over three days that will leave people with great memories,” said festival manager Robert Lindsay. “But we also want the Happening to leave a legacy for Stonehaven.”
He added: “Since we first opened as the Stonehaven Real Ale Festival through to last year’s Midsummer Beer Happening, the event has raised £375,000, all of which goes back into the community.
“We couldn’t do that without the help and support of the visitors who flock to the festival year after years, regularly seeing 6,000 people coming through our marquee over the three days of the festival.”
This year will see more than 120 beers on offer from the best of Scottish breweries, plus two from Belgium. It will also see the return of the popular al fresco food court, and a rich music strand with the cream of north-east talent, plus a cycling Sportive.
