Preparations have begun ahead of the 37th Dorchester Beerex, organised by West Dorset CAMRA, which take place on 6th and 7th February next year.

There will be 84 cask ales from around the UK, plus a large selection of traditional ciders and perries.
Cerne Abbas Brewery will be the main festival sponsor once again, and will have a selection of their beers, including some one off specials.
And Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary Club will continue as charity partner. The festival has always raised money for local good causes, and the 2026 festival’s main beneficiary will be People First Dorset.
This aims to assist people with learning disabilities through friendship clubs, helping to connect with local communities via skillsets such as communication, and reducing social isolation, and to promote independence and wellbeing.
To date the festival has raised just over £300,000 for good local causes. This is possible through the generosity of local companies and breweries, through barrel sponsorship and raffle prize donations.
Money from the raffle will once again go to the Dorchester Youth and Community Centre, which gives valuable motivation to the youth of Dorchester and vulnerable people.
“Planning for the 2026 Beerex is in full swing, and with the event coinciding with the 50th anniversary of West Dorset CAMRA, we are hoping to have some very special celebration beers on offer,” said West Dorset CAMRA and Beerex committee chairman Bruce Mead. “Watch this space!”
Tickets will go on sale on 1st December, priced at £12. They will be available from: The Convivial Rabbit and Tom Browns, in Dorchester; Brace of Butchers, in Poundbury; and The Globe, in Weymouth.
