Chouffe Brewery has announced the soft launch of Chouffe Session, a 4% ABV draught Belgian blond beer, designed as a lighter alternative to its core brews.
Chouffe has drawn upon more than 40 years of expertise to develop this new beer, in reaction to drinkers’ changing habits.
Chouffe Session is currently available in key on-trade accounts including Brewhouse and Kitchen,
and various independent pubs, with plans for a wider launch in national pub groups.
The beer is light yet rich, with the classic Chouffe spice and soft fruit flavours. It retains a
balanced bitterness and sweet sensation on the palate, with a warm, round aftertaste.
“Chouffe Session has been a long time in the making,” said Chris Bauweraerts, co-founder of Chouffe Brewery. “With the low- and no-alcohol category’s rapid growth over the last few years, we were
determined to create a super-drinkable Belgium blond beer with a low ABV, without losing that
distinctive Chouffe flavour that consumers know and love.
“We’re proud to have created a new type of Belgian beer that will change the way consumers perceive Belgium blond beers on draft.
“Chouffe Session is an excellent lager substitute, with body and spice that can also be enjoyed by ale
afficionados. It’s a beer that’s proving to be inclusive and appealing to various beer drinkers at once.
“Following this successful launch, plans are in motion for a [ready to drink] version of Chouffe Session. Watch this space.”
