Butcombe Brewing Co has expanded its beer portfolio with the launch of Triton, a 4.6% ABV premium lager, described as being Mediterranean style.

Named after the sea god, Triton is designed as a premium lager with structure, balance, and story.
Crafted using Mendip spring water, drawn from the brewery’s own borehole, Triton is triple-filtered and brewed with Perle, Saaz, and Target hops.
The result, says the brewer, is a structured lager with gentle herbal notes, a firm bitterness, and a rounded malt backbone that delivers a clean and dry finish.

“Triton represents the next step in the development of our lager portfolio, and is a beer built on authenticity, quality, and provenance,” said Fred Vanderplank, managing director, UK Drinks, at Butcombe Group.
“As an independent brewery, we’re seeing a real momentum behind drinkers actively choosing beers from smaller, quality-focused producers, and Triton embodies that spirit.
“It’s been designed to stand out on the bar and give operators a premium option with substance. We’re excited to see it pouring in venues across our heartland and beyond.”
