One of our most requested, highly rated and staff favourite, our Bourbon Barrel Aged Four Bean Apex is back just in time to toast our 10th Birthday. Originally released in 2021 a serving as no. 23 in the Endangered Species Series, we’re very excited to welcome this one back as our 51st Endangered Species release.
We have taken our delicious Oatmeal Stout, Apex and let our brewer’s imagination run wild. Aged for 12 months in specially selected bourbon barrels to allow the flavours deepen and develop over time.
This beer is even better than we remember. A Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Cocoa, Coffee, Tonka and Vanilla Bean Imperial Stout, at 13.2% this beer has developed into a rich, complex stout, full of flavour and aroma. You can expect rich savoury notes with hints of cinnamon, clove, mixed spice, roast coffee, velvety smooth chocolate, Vanilla and a touch of oak.
Available in the wild this week in all good independent off licences and at the Wicklow Wolf Taproom.
