London brewer Fuller’s is providing its Black Cab stout to pub owners who are facing stout shortages, with help from social media star Tom Skinner.

Black cab enthusiast Tom personally delivered the first of many kegs of the stout to The Barley Mow, in Marylebone.
Black Cab launched as a seasonal limited edition in 2011, but due to popular demand it quickly became part of the brand’s core range. It is a rich, dark beer, made from five different malts and coming in at 4.2% ABV.
Stout sales in general have continued to rocket in 2024, growing at 20.5% year on year. Black Cab has grown 150% ahead of the market, driven by both increased distribution and increased rate of sale through existing outlets.
“Christmas is the most crucial time of the year for pubs and bars and after a challenging few years, availability issues are the last thing these venues need,” said Robert Hobart, marketing director at Fuller’s owner Asahi UK.
