Purbeck Cider are to host their first Community Apple Day, at their Dorset Cider Farm base, on Saturday, 20th September.

The Purbeck Cider harvest under way
People with apple trees are being invited to bring along excess fruit to a community pressing. They can trade in apples for tokens to either donate to charity or buy cider with, and see their fruit become part of The People’s Choice Cider, a small-batch bespoke cider made from the fruit provided by the community.
Apple Day will have a local apple expert on hand to identify any unknown apples you may have growing in your gardens. Visitors can see and try the full range of different apples that Purbeck Cider grow, and watch the team at work, harvesting and at the press.
As if that’s not enough, there will also be a host of other entertainment, from traditional games to live music, and a barbecue, too.
The event runs from 10am-5pm. Find out more here.
