In this Brewer Roundtable, we’ll be discussing barrel-aging with Pohjala, Mallaskoski, and Brussels Beer Project.

Barrel-aging is a process that allows craft beers to age in wood barrels, giving them a unique flavor and texture. This roundtable will be a fascinating insight into the different techniques used to barrel-age beer, and we hope you’ll join us for the discussion!

Estonian craft brewery Pohjala have been barrel-ageing since they opened in Riga 10 years ago, influenced by their head brewers Scottish background.

Venerable Finnish brewery Mallaskoski have been around longer than the others and have been experimenting with barrels for some years.

Brussels Beer Project are a Belgian craft brewery that was created specifically with a view to shaking up the Belgian beer scene. Their barrel-ageing program is new but developing a strong reputation very quickly.
