Uley Brewery: cask ale shaped by tradition

Uley Brewery has released a short film, directed by George Souster, that captures how it continues to brew — by hand, on a small scale, and without rushing the process.

At a time when much of brewing is shaped by scale and speed, the film offers a quieter perspective. It shows the day-to-day reality of brewing beer traditionally, the people, the pace, and the natural spring that has supplied the brewery since it first opened in 1833.

The result is a straightforward reflection of what Uley Brewery stands for today.

“We’ve been brewing for over 40 years in our small and perfectly formed Victorian tower brewery,” said head brewer Ken Lush. “We are family owned and hold our values close. We’re proud of that.”

The film can be viewed below.
