Paignton-based Bays Brewery has teamed up with Westcountry Rivers Trust for its first charity beer of 2026, session IPA Up The Creek.

Bays Brewery Up The Creek

Available in bottles, beer boxes, and on cask from 22nd February, it bursts with bright citrus aromas, inspired by the freshwater habitats the Trust works tirelessly to protect.

Sold on Bays’ online shop and pouring in pubs and bars across Devon, 5% from every pint and bottle sold will support WRT’s work safeguarding the region’s rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands, and estuaries.

“Devon’s rivers really are the lifeblood of this region — they support wildlife, local communities, tourism, and the landscapes we all love,” said Bays Brewery director Peter Salmon. “Up The Creek is our way of shining a spotlight on just how important it is to protect them.

“Torbay may be famous for its coastline, but our rivers and freshwater habitats are just as vital. That’s why we’re proud to be pouring a pint that celebrates them and proves that even small ripples — or sips — can make a big splash.”

Dr Laurence Couldrick, chief executive at Westcountry Rivers Trust, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Bays Brewery on Up The Creek, a partnership that not only raises vital funds but also helps spark conversations about why protecting our waterways matters so much.

“Devon’s rivers are at the heart of many local communities, and support like this helps us continue the hands-on work needed to restore and protect them for future generations.”

• Up The Creek is the first of four charity beers being served up by the Torbay-based brewery in 2026, each brewed in support of a local charity close to its heart. Read more here
