Beer-themed online broadcaster Ale & Radio has announced an international partnership with Beer Down Under, Australia’s only dedicated beer radio programme.

Ale Radio

The collaboration will officially launch on Monday, 26th January — Australia Day.

The tie-up will see Beer Down Under taking over Ale & Radio’s UK and European night-time and early-morning schedule, when most local listeners are asleep. During these hours, the station will be transformed into a distinctly Australian beer experience, with original beer-focused content and a rotating soundtrack of music popular with worldwide audiences, with a leaning toward Australian music tastes.

Broadcasting from a pub shed studio in Sheffield, Ale & Radio may be rooted in the UK, but it already attracts listeners from around the world. The station features programming from international contributors, including shows presented by voices from the United States, and now extends its reach further through the addition of Beer Down Under.

Launched in April 2024, Ale & Radio has recorded more than 82,000 streams to date and is currently achieving more than 2,000 streams per week.

Beer Down Under will deliver a high-energy programme dedicated entirely to Australian beer culture. The show will cover industry news, beer education, brewing history, travel, and emerging styles, backed by a curated rotation of Australian music.

The programme is hosted by Nigel Ayling, also known as The Beerducator. Nigel is the founder of We Love Craft Beer, established in 2015 and now home to one of Australia’s largest beer communities, with more than 13,000 members.
