About HOPE Beer:

HOPE Beer is an award winning brewery based at Howth Junction. HOPE Beer started out in 2015 when the brewery was founded by four friends with a passion for beer and business. What began as a series of late-night kitchen table discussions is now a state-of-the-art brewery, producing an extensive range of award-winning premium craft beers.

HOPE Beer produces a core range of five distinct beer styles which are available all year round as well as two seasonals and a wide range of limited-edition beers.

All HOPE beers are brewed, bottled, canned and kegged at Howth Junction on Dublin’s Northside and are crafted to be the perfect accompaniment to food. Each beer has its own distinct name, story and taste experience.

Role Overview:

The Sales & Account Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing HOPE Beer’s customer base across both the On Trade (pubs, restaurants) and Off Trade (off-licences, supermarket). This is a hands-on role that combines account management, new business development, deliveries, sales and representing the HOPE Beer brand in any and all customer facing environments.

The successful candidate will be the face of HOPE Beer for many of our customers, helping to drive sales, increase visibility, and ensure our beer is always presented to the highest standard.

The ideal candidate is someone who’s genuinely passionate about beer and eager to build strong relationships with pubs, restaurants, and off-licences across Dublin.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Account Management & Sales

  • The Maintaining and developing of HOPE Beer existing customer base. This includes both the On and Off Trade – Pubs, Restaurants, Supermarket Multiple’s, Group Stores and Independent off-licences.
  • Sales – Identifying and converting new business opportunities in both the On and Off Trade.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers in pubs, restaurants, retailers, and distributors.
  • Support the management team in coordinating with third-party distributors. Maintain a working relationship with Distributor Sales team selling HOPE Beer to maximise HOPE Beer’s presence.

Activation, Visibility & Merchandising

  • Effective activation of new accounts – staff training on HOPE Beer products, Point of Sale material and account administration information.
  • Improve brand visibility through placement, POS, and merchandising initiatives.
  • From time to time, complete merchandising visits in supermarket multiples or group stores.

Deliveries & Operations

  • Complete weekly direct deliveries to HOPE Beer accounts (Keg, Can & Bottle).
  • Assist with occasional line cleaning or light dispense support where needed (technical assistance available).
  • Internal administration – Ongoing updating of customer account information (personnel changes, ordering systems, competition activity).

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to support campaigns, in-store tastings, events, and promotional opportunities.
  • Contribute ideas for new beers and Limited Editions.
  • Represent HOPE Beer at festivals, tap takeovers, in-store tastings and events throughout the year.

Brand Representation

  • Always present HOPE Beer professionally and with integrity.
  • Be an ambassador for the brand in all customer interactions, both on and off site.

The above is not exhaustive. Flexibility is required as with a small company such as HOPE Beer, operations and focus can change quickly.

The position will mainly cover the area of Dublin City, but will stretch out into the wider Leinster region from time to time.

About You – Skills & Experience

Required

  • Full, clean driver’s licences.
  • Passion for craft beer and the Irish beer industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working independently.

Ideally

  • While not essential, previous experience in bars, beverage, or beer sales is valuable.
  • Knowledge of beer styles, brewing, and the pub/off-licence trade.
  • Comfortable doing hands-on / physical work such as deliveries and basic dispense tasks.

Primary Goals

  • Maintain HOPE Beer existing accounts – On and Off Trade.
  • Build business within these accounts.
  • Find new opportunities for HOPE Beer – On and Off Trade.
  • Make sure all direct HOPE Beer deliveries are completed weekly.
  • Help improve HOPE Beer visibility (POS and placements) in accounts.
  • Continue to present HOPE Beer with integrity and professionalism.
