Mash Gang’s signature stout, Lesser Evil, has scored double gold at the International Non-Alcoholic Competition and was crowned beer of the year. Dark and decadent, Lesser Evil is a blend of rich cocoa, velvety oats, and a generous dose of sweet and sour cherry juice. Other familiar favourites from Mash Gang’s product range also scored well with the critics, with Chug (a crisp, juicy, and bold hazy IPA) achieving gold status, while Journey Juice (a tropical, zesty, fruited IPA) and Glug (a crispy and golden lager) picking up bronze. “It’s an honour to be shaping the future of mindful drinking with game-changing beers and winning out over the industry’s largest brands,” said Jo Taylor, global marketing director for Mash Gang. “2025 has already been a year to remember, as we continue to turn heads and push the message that we precision brew to 0.5%, which unlike most alcohol-free brands who de-alcoholise, means we keep the full flavour of a full-strength beer. “Put simply, it tastes like great beer, because it is great beer, just without the alcohol!”
