Beers of Europe, in Norfolk, has once again become the first store in the UK to stock official Oktoberfest beers, from German breweries.

Every year, more than 6 million people gather in Munich for the world’s biggest beer festival, Oktoberfest. It was first held in 1810, to celebrate the royal wedding of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. Munich’s famous breweries create special beers just for the occasion — beers that are rarely available in the UK.
The festival begins on 20th September, but the beers have arrived at Beers of Europe’s Setchey warehouse, ready to be enjoyed.
“Not everyone can make the trip to Bavaria, but Beers of Europe brings the festival to you,” said marketing manager Amanda Waterfield.
“Thanks to long-standing relationships with our suppliers, we’re able to stock Oktoberfest beers earlier than anyone else in the UK. Our customers get the first taste, and that always puts smiles on a lot of beer lovers’ faces!”
This year’s range includes beers from five of Munich’s ‘big six’ breweries: Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner, and Spaten. Available in mixed 12- and 24-packs, gift packs with a stein, and as single bottles, these seasonal beers are only in stock until around December — once they’re gone, they’re gone!
