The Basset Arms, in Portreath, has been re-opened following renovation as part of the Carbis Bay Collection of venues.

The prominent 18th-century building is just moments from Portreath beach. “Our goal has been to preserve the traditional character of the pub whilst enhancing the overall guest experience,” said Stephen Baker, owner of the Carbis Bay Collection.
The pub will offer a carefully curated menu developed by Carbis Bay Estate’s executive chef, Andrew Houghton, that highlights seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The emphasis is on traditional British fare and Cornish specialities, including West Coast mussels, Cornish crab, and stargazy pie.
A comprehensive drinks list, featuring locally brewed ales, fine wines, and regional spirits, has been created.
