Ahead of its second anniversary celebration, in August, Rochdale-based Bríds Cross Brewing has announced its first ever homebrew competition.

The winning homebrewer will get the chance to come and brew their beer on a six-barrel kit ready, to be launched at the brewery’s Second Birthday Bash. This will be held at The Baum, Rochdale, on 22nd August.
The winning brewer will also receive a T-shirt featuring the pumpclip artwork for their beer, and a case of beer, possibly including their own, depending on canning schedules.
Brewers will be asked to name their beer with a folktale theme, and this will be included — with a modest weighting — in the scoring system.
The competition will be judged by beer writer and publisher, Matt Curtis, and Ben Boothman, director of the Lancashire Hospitality Co.
