Joule’s Brewery has hosted HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, at their head office and brewery site in Market Drayton.
The Duke of Gloucester took a keen interest in the full scope of Joule’s operations. His genuine curiosity and enthusiasm were evident as he engaged with team members and delved into the finer details of the brewing process.
At Joule’s Red Lion Taphouse, the Duke stepped behind the bar to pour a perfect pint of the brewery’s Green Monkey Lager, as well as some cask pale ale. His skill behind the bar impressed even the most seasoned members of the Joule’s team.
“We were truly honoured to welcome HRH Prince Richard to Joule’s Brewery,” said brand manager Georgia Charlton-Briggs. “His visit gave us a wonderful opportunity to share the history and heritage of our brewery, as well as our vision for the future.
“The Duke showed a genuine interest in everything from our brewing techniques to our exciting expansion plans. His time behind the bar at the Red Lion, where he poured a flawless pint of our Green Monkey Lager, was a particular highlight — he took to it with such ease that even our seasoned team members were impressed!
“His visit was an exciting moment for our team, and a great reflection of the support for local brewing and Market Drayton.”
