Rye River Brewing Company, one of Ireland’s leading and most influential independent craft breweries, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team. With our commitment to growth, we are expanding our warehouse with a new facility currently in construction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment and verify their accuracy
- Prepare and assemble orders for production, ensuring timely delivery of materials to the brewing and packaging teams
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders according to pick sheet
- Ensure the correct quantities and products are selected for each order
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all required documentation is included
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely and accurate delivery
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Rotate stock to ensure the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle is followed
- Report discrepancies or issues with inventory levels promptly and assist in cycle counts
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to maintain an organised and efficient workflow
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Inspect products for damage or defects before packing and dispatching
- Follow quality control procedures to maintain the highest product quality
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Comply with brewery policies and procedures
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- 3+ years warehouse experience essential.
- Must have a valid reach and counterbalance license (Applicant without this will not be considered).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Engineering qualifications and previous experience are desired. Training will be provided.
