Siren Craft Brew has launched an Independent Lager Showcase featuring five guest lagers alongside hugely popular Siren Pils and Siren Pachanga Mexican Lager. And Beer Today readers can get a 10% discount!

Independent Lager Showcase

“So confident in our own Siren Pils after years of work, we took it to Italy’s Pils Pride Festival where visitors line up to try the best lagers from across Europe and around the World, and it went down an absolute treat,” says Siren.

From London to Edinburgh, Finchampstead to Devon, independent breweries across the country are brewing some incredible lagers in different styles: pilsners, keller biers, and a dunkel among them.

The showcase comprises:

  • Lost and Grounded, Bristol, Keller Pils
  • Newbarns, Edingburgh, Dunkel
  • Queer Brewing, East London, Tiny Dots Pilsner
  • Red Willow, Macclesfield, Keller Bier
  • Siren Craft Brew, Finchampstead, Pils and Pachanga Mexican Lager and
  • Utopian, Crediton British Lager

To order the Independent Lager Showcase, click here and use code BEERTODAY10 at the checkout.

Brewers’ tasting notes

Lost and Grounded: Keller Pils (4.8% ABV)
We take Pilsner malt from Germany and Belgium, and combine with three traditional hop varieties — Magnum, Perle and Hallertauer Mittelfruh — to produce a clean, unfiltered, hop bitter lager beer.

Newbarns: Dunkel (4.9% ABV)
A traditional dark lager from Bavaria, brewed with Golden Promise, and a touch of roasted barley, and hopped with Hallertau Tradition and Tettnang, from Germany.

Queer Brewing: Tiny Dots Pilsner (4.5% ABV)
An easy-going German-style lager, brewed with approachability and refreshment in mind. A moment of calm in a world of noise, it’s hopped with Lubelski and Tettnang for classic pilsner character, remaining light and drinkable, yet full of flavour.

Red Willow: Keller Bier (4.3%)
A classic unfined and unfiltered ‘cellar beer’ made with Pilsner and Vienna malts for a sweet satisfying bready body, with a lemony finish and a kiss of peppery spice.

Siren Craft Brew: Siren Pils (4.8% ABV)
A crisp and refreshing modern pilsner, enlivened by bright citrus notes and the fresh, floral aroma of sun-kissed Bavarian hops — sourced straight from the fields. Siren Pils is the result of years of refinement, dialling in our processes to ferment and condition as cold as possible, keeping the lager clean and refreshing, with beautifully distinct flavour.

Siren Craft Brew: Pachanga Mexican Lager (5.5% ABV)
A Mexican lager, authentically made with corn in the grist. These beers are designed to be absolutely crushed in summer. A decent amount of lime freshens up the tortilla-like base beer, with salt helping balance and mouthfeel.

Utopian: British Lager(4.7% ABV)
Brewed solely with the finest, British-grown malted barley and hops. A slow, low temperature fermentation followed by a long cold conditioning, gives this lager a crisp, clean finish, while allowing all the wonderful flavours from the malt and hops to fully develop and shine. Light golden in colour, with depth of flavour and impeccable balance, this is lager at its finest.
