Firestone Walker Brewing just shared a small film that they produced and performed in called Hop Dreams. While we’ve come to expect these high gloss productions from breweries of this importance and size, we looked past that and had some pretty important takeaways. Not to spoil this, Hop Dreams accomplishes two important things: There are passionate, creative, focused people behind the beer Firestone Walker makes. This film brings us closer to Matt Brynildson, Firestone Walker’s Brewmaster. We also get face time with Propagator brewer Sam Tierney. For years at The Full Pint, we’ve maintained a brewery’s success will be determined by the personal connection they make with their customers at all sizes. The other important thing this film sheds light on is there are people behind the ingredients, in this case, the hops. The film takes us right on the farm and in my opinion, brings me closer to the beer in my glass.
