Butcombe Original has become the most popular cask beer on draught in the South West, according to date from analysts CGA.

It takes the number one spot, in terms of volume and value, outranking giants of the industry such as Doom Bar and Tribute for the first time.
“We are delighted to see Butcombe Original ranking as the South West’s favourite beer,” said Jayson Perfect, chief operating officer of Butcombe parent company Liberation Group.
“Original has been popular since the 1970s and has a very loyal following, but now we have the addition of a new, younger audience of craft beer enthusiasts looking for the genuine article from a forward-thinking, modern, and trusted brand.
“Our brewing team, mixing traditional and tried and tested techniques, works tirelessly to produce a high-quality range of cask ales.
“Our customers love Original’s clean, modern, and refreshing taste, so it’s no surprise to us that Butcombe Original is now the number one choice across the South West.”
